This page provides information on activities and opportunities available within the Climate Justice and Resilience Toolkit programme.
By now, you may have scanned through this toolkit and be wondering: how do we go about implementing some of these ideas? We are thrilled to invite community service organisations (CSOs) across Western Australia to collaboratively develop and undertake a project that integrates climate justice and disaster resilience into their organisation and service provision.
We are seeking partnerships with community service organisations across WA and can provide up to $50,000 to support these projects. Partner organisations are expected to work collaboratively with Aboriginal Traditional Owners and People with Lived Experience. The learnings from the project will feed back into the Toolkit with the aim of strengthening climate justice and resilience in the sector. Partner organisations will complete their projects before mid-2026. ECU will support partners to develop a project, collate learnings, and share them with the sector.
For more information, access the EOI guidelines and contact Kylie Wrigley at k.wrigley@ecu.edu.au to discuss your expression of interest. Please note the EOI dates have been extended and you can contact us at any time.
A free, one-day workshop and professional development opportunity will be available in-person, across WA and online. The workshop will draw on resources in this toolkit and offer staff and volunteers with practical information and actions to infuse climate justice and resilience into community service organisation.
These workshops are currently being developed and organised with local organisations across WA.
Registration links will become available on this page soon. Register your interest in the link below.
Join a community of practice series. Here you can connect with other organisations and learn about how to embed climate justice into your community service organisation. In these online gatherings, an overview of what climate justice means for the sector will be discussed and tools and resources from the toolkit will be showcased.
